IMPORTANT SAFTEY INFORMATION
  1. When on the firing line all firearms must have actions open and pointed in a safe direction when not in use. (Excluding cased firearms)
  2. All firearms must have the actions open and no one is to touch any firearm, or part thereof, when people are down range.

NEW GATE: Some of you might have noticed the new gate we installed. This gate is to insure that only members and their 2 guest maximum are using the range. We are trying to insure that you as members can get the maximum usage out of the range and not deal with nonpaying members. It has come to our attention that some people in the public think that when the gate is open the range is open to the public, it is not. The only ranges open to the public are Trap, Skeet 5-Stand and the indoor range during the open hours listed and run by a volunteer. So during those time the main gate will be open and we will close the second gate. You will use your key in the second gate like normal. Thanks

Brass Questions:  Yes, you may still pick up your own brass.  Any other brass is property of the Ephrata Sportsmen's Association and the youth shooting program.  If you do not want your brass, please leave it for the youth shooting program.  The youth program is recycling the brass to help with funds.  We expect to have collection bins in place in the near future at the 25, 50 and 100 yard bays for you to donate unwanted brass.  Thank you for supporting our youth program.  If you have any questions, please contact me, Erik Borg, at 509-793-8305.

Members: The Board would like to thank everyone that supported EPHRATA SPORTSMEN ASSOCIATION this past year.
The board has received reports of non-members waiting at the gate and waiting for members to let them in the gate. Please do not let them in, it is not fair to the paying members of Ephrata Sportsmen association and we have been experiencing some vandalism.

We are pleases to inform you that we now have a Youth Shotgun and JR small bore Rifle program through a local 4H program. They shoot on Tuesday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. We welcome the Range Riders 4H group to the Range

Membership: Memberships are available for 2019 for $80. On January 1, 2020, the locks will be changed and you will need the new 2020 key. 2020 memberships and keys should be available for purchase in November 2019.  Keys/membership are available at Olde World Trading in Moses Lake (765-2909) or Ephrata (754-3230). We offer six public shooting bays from 7 yards out to 450 yards. You must be a member to use the bays even if the gate is open. Several bays are posted for Law enforcement and special use only. Please follow the information on the signs. Please use the appropriate bay. The Skeet, Trap and 5 Stand areas are for shotgun only. Pistols and rifles only on the 25 and 50 yard bays.

The 100 yard range is for shooting targets at 100 yards only. Please do not set up targets less
than 100 yards. The bullets will ricochet and cause the range to be shut down.

The 450 yard bay is for 200 to 450 yard use only and is closed on days the stunt planes are out. The Port of Ephrata has dates posted on their website for when the stunt planes are scheduled. Go to www.portofephrata.com for more info. Remember, persons and/or vehicles cannot be in the 450 bay while the stunt planes are flying. This is for our protection. We cannot park a car in the 450 bay or walk around that bay on the dates the stunt planes are flying. We are in their crash zone.
This is an FAA enforced rule.
There are steel targets available in the 450 bay. These are appropriate for use by most rifles except for 50 cal and any armor piercing ammo. If we treat them nicely, they will last for quite a while. Please double check that your ammo is not steel core. If a magnet sticks to the bullet, please refrain from using the steel targets. NO GREEN TIP AMMO. Those plates are a $100.00 each and can be ruined with one shot from steel core ammo.

Jr Small Bore Rifle: We are looking for a new director for this program.
Once we get a new director, we will resume this program. Precision 3 position (Prone, Kneeling, Standing)
Olympic style shooting for juniors 18 and younger.

Law Enforcement dates:   The Police bay is reserved for Law enforcement use. Law Enforcement may be on any bay at any time. The IPSC bays beyond the Police bay are open only for IPSC events. If the gate is locked open, that means there is an event going on or L.E. is using the range. Please double check before locking the gate. Otherwise the gate is to remain closed.

Miscellaneous: Range rules are posted and available when you purchase keys each year.
If you witness violations of these rules please contact the Ephrata Police Department. (509) 754-2491 EPD
Trash bins are provided for your used targets. Please cleanup after yourself. Please enjoy the range
